EBC excellence reaps awards
Securing ISO 9001 registered firm status means EBC joins just 3 per cent of UK businesses who have earned the right to hold the internationally recognised award for quality. ISO 9001 is an international benchmark for quality and is recognised worldwide. The prestigious award puts EBC at the forefront of quality service and customer care.
EBC activities across the region have been recognised in a number of prestigious awards - acknowledging the excellence of our work.
In 2008 EBC was a finalist in the small training provider category of the North East Equality Awards organised by Equality North East. EBC's Chief Executive Barbara McClennan - pictured left - was also a finalist in the Individuals WEho Have Made a Difference category. To find out more click this link.

In 2007 EBC's Chief Executive, Barbara McClennan, was a finalist in the prestigous North East Social Entrepreneur of the Year Awards, organised by the Community Foundation and sponsored by leading law firm Ward Hadaway.

EBC has now gained its first national quality award with the securing of IS0 9001 certification.

In 2006 EBC won the Ambassador of the Year Award category at the ONE NorthEast sponsored Regional Tourism Awards for our Exploring Tourism programme. This saw young people from the region promoting North East tourism to an audience of Dutch tourism experts. The previous year EBC was a finalist in the Best Tourism Innovation category of the same awards for its innovative Work, Rest, Stay and Play programme.
