E-mentoring Newsletter No 1

Ementoring efriends logoDigital Challenge logoWelcome to our first E-mentoring newsletter created to give you the latest news on the project you are a part of.

The newsletter will also give you all the chance to tell each other what you think of the project, what it has meant for you and to spread your word to everyone involved.

We will be sending you emails to tell you when there is a new e-newsletter.  In each email will be a weblink which will take you to your special on-line newsletter.  Just click it and it will take you straight to the newsletter  page.

We need your ideas

We'd like you to tell us what you think - just use the special e-mentoring web tool to keep us informed.  If you've got some useful websites you think would be helpful to others involved in the project - Mentors or Mentees - then let us know.

Happy reading.

Did you get switched onto new technology?

Ementoring project launch

Lots of our Mentees attended the official launch of the programme which took place in the Quayside Exchange in Sunderland.

Ementoring launch

The day saw our Mentees getting the chance to use a range of computer equipment.

All the activities they did showed them why staying switched on with ICT at school is important for them when they become adults.

Ementoring project launchThey had the chance to try different software and different equipment as well as registering themselves on the E-mentoring on-line tool.

We took photographs of all the pupils at work during the  day and some of them arte shown here.  Are you in our photographs?

You can take a look at more of our photos by clicking this link

At the event our Mentees were set the task of coming up with some designs for our newsletter - and ideas for content.

They were asked what questions they would ask of their Mentors and also how a Mentor could help them.

Some even created draft page designs for our newsletter.

The contents of this newsletter is based on their work.

See you soon
