Young people prepare to conquer European food markets

Pinchos display produced by winners St Anthony's Girls School

Eight teams from seven schools across the region took part in The Language of Enterprise.

Their prototypes stunned the judges with their innovation, creativity and sheer diversity. and they tasted delicious!

Sunnydale School's food hamper

Winners were St Anthony's Girls School with their tasty teatime treat - pinchos.

Second place went to pupils of Sunnydale Community College who created a festive Easter foodhamper filled with tasty goodies. 

Nessie bread created by Harton Technology college pupils

Third place went to Wellfield Community School for their Queens Puddings and fourth place went to Harton Technology College for their Nessie Bread.

 

Products produced included:

  • Pinchos - tasty teamtime treats for European foodies.
  • Nellie Bread - a delicious shortbread packaged in colourful tartan boxes for the sweet toothed Spanish
  • Traditional steam puddings designed to pander the tastebuds of the Germans
  • Stunning seasonal hampers for French foodies
  • A much needed tinned version of the North East's favourite dish - Pan Haggerty
  • A make-yourself Pan Haggerty hamper kit complete with recipe and ingredients.

  • St Anthony's Catholic Girls School
  • Academy 360
  • Shotton Hall School
