The Language of Enterprise Competition for Schools

Safe, Sensible and Social Small Grants projects
EBC has been lucky enough to secure three separate grants from this funding stream, set up by the NHS South of Tyne and Wear. Funding has led to EBC deliverying three separate, but interlinked, activities.
- A series of eye-catching posters, poignant interviews and a powerpoint presentation - all downloadable for use by schools, colleges, youth groups and community groups. Visit our online resources page.
- A fun-based board game designed to raise awareness of alcohol related issues in young people. The game is free to download and easy to recreate and play. Visit our online resources page.
- A special Safe, Sensible, Social Season event at a local community venue in Sunderland. See our photo album.
EBC's Excellence in Adult Learning
EBC has now developed its expertise in deliverying innovative, creative and engaging learning for adults of all ages and abilities. We have now successfully adapted and extended some of the activities we have delivered over many years for young people to meet the needs of adults, including those with disabilities, alcohol and drug misuse issues and even the homeless.

EBC excellence reaps awards

EBC develops Polish teachers and trainers entrepreneurial skills
EBC's Chief Executive Barbara McClennan travelled to Poland in 2009 to help Polish teachers and trainers from the third sector develop their skills in developing entrepreneurship skills in young people. To find out more visit our special Polish Partnerships page.
North East Third Sector Partnership
EBC has joined forces with a number of prominent third sector organisations to create the North East Third Sector Partnership (NETSP).

EBC joins leading infrastructure organisation for third sector
EBC's committment to ensuring the third sector continues to thrive is reflected in its membership of Tyne and Wear Infrastructure Consortium (TWIC).
Backed by Capacitybuilders, the TWIC is committed to improving the Reach, Quality and Influence of third sector organisations in all levels of society.

Acknowledging Excellence in the Community


EBC has developed a range of programmes for adults, particularly those working in the community voluntary sector - whether as paid staff or as volunteers.
These include both accredited and non-accredited training and learning.

Our Place 2020
EBC played a key role in delivering a regional schools competition - Our Place 2020 designed to develop skills and knowledge in young people of the issues surrounding sustainable communities.
Our Place 2020 was sponsored by English Partnerships and promoted by IGNITE which is supported by various key organisationsincluding One NorthEast and the Government Office for the North East.
