EBC to develop Polish teachers entrepreneurial skills

EBC's Chief Executive Barbara McClennan will travel to Poland in 2009 to help Polish teachers develop their skills in developing entrepreneurship skills in young people.  To find out more click here

North East Third Sector Partnership

EBC has joined forces with a number of prominent third sector organisations to create the North East Third Sector Partnership (NETSP).    It aim is to secure public sector contracts for delivery of services. To find out more click here.

Acknowledging Excellence in the Community

EBC has developed a range of programmes for adults, particularly those working in the community voluntary sector - whether as paid staff or as volunteers.  These include both accredited and non-accredited training and learning.

EBC's partnership support shines through

Two schools in Sunderland are Celebrating Their Specialness thanks to support from EBC.  The schools - Portland and Barbara Priestman - now have specially etched windows to acknowledge their involvement in a bespoke programme designed by EBC to bring together businesses and young people.  To find out more click here.

Businesses recruited by EBC developed and delivered a range of hands on learning for pupils from the two schools - all designed to give them an insight into the world of work.  Click here to see a photograph of one of the windows.

Our Place 2020

EBC played a key role in delivering a regional schools competition - Our Place 2020 designed to develop skills and knowledge in young  people of the issues surrounding sustainable communities.

Our Place 2020 was sponsored by English Partnerships and promoted by IGNITE which is supported by various key organisations including One NorthEast and the Government Office for the North East.

Bridging the Gap Through Technology

EBC's was one of the key partners in an initiative designed to help people develop new skills and be better prepared to get back into work.  The Make it Work The Sunderland Way programme has been managed by Sunderland City Council. Education Business Connections (EBC) supports the partnership working of schools, employers and the community.
